Have you ever noticed how our mindset changes the reactions of students and their performance? This idea, fostered by Carol Dweck, can truly change and enhance our practice. I know that once I started changing the way I viewed various situations, I felt empowered and I saw both a new passion for Spanish in my students as well as a new sense community within my classroom.  I love these two articles that talk about if we provide and create a nurturing and intrinsic motivational environment, our learners will be engaged and empowered to succeed!  These articles give several recommendations, but please share what you have done in your classroom by leaving a comment below!  How else do you give praise to students?  What have you done to build innovation?  Want to test your mindset, click here!

    Thanks for exploring CWL!

I have experience being a District Supervisor, teaching all levels of Spanish from I-VAP, serving as a Master Teacher, being a teacher trainer for Startalk and am a co author for the Entre Culturas Spanish III series by Wayside Publishing.

In order to achieve student success, I believe in providing teachers with hands on resources that will impact their teaching immediately.  This is my passion and I hope you enjoy the site!
